The Moritz Feed Doc Festival celebrates its tenth anniversary with a special gift: the launch of a new online film catalogue where you can enjoy 10 of the best documentaries that have been featured at the festival throughout its history.
Availablefrom today until April 24, 2027, on the CaixaForum+ platform, the catalogue includes essential titles that have shaped the history of fashion, culture, and society.
The selection features major figures such as Halston (2019), directed by Frédéric Tcheng, which tells the story of the rise and fall, in the 1970s, of American designer Roy Halston Frowick. Also included is Dessins d’Yves Saint Laurent (2017), by Loïc Prigent, which, through his drawings, delves into the universe and creative process of the legendary designer.
The journey continues with Coco Chanel: Unbuttoned (2008), by Marieke Schroeder, which dismantles the myth of the great Coco Chanel to reveal the complexity of a life marked by ambition; and Dior and I (2014), by Frédéric Tcheng, where we witness Raf Simons’ debut as creative director of the maison founded by Christian Dior and the immense pressure of haute couture.
Other standout titles include Westwood: Punk, Icon, Activist (2018) by Lorna Tucker, a tribute to Vivienne Westwood from her punk origins to her role as an activist who shook the norms of British fashion; Dries (2017), by Reiner Holzemer, offering exclusive access to the personal and professional life of Dries Van Noten over a year, showing a life far removed from the industry’s frenzy; and Twiggy: The Face of the 60’s (2013), by Philip Priestley, a biography of British model Twiggy, who redefined beauty standards with her androgynous image.
Finally, the catalogue also includes Happy Clothes: A Film About Patricia Field (2018), by Michael Selditch, a colorful piece reflecting Patricia Field’s philosophy; In and Out of Fashion (1994), by William Klein, a self-portrait of the filmmaker with an ironic and critical view of the fashion industry’s mechanisms; and Invisible Beauty (2023), by Bethann Hardison and Frédéric Tcheng, exploring the struggle for racial diversity in fashion through Bethann Hardison, one of its most influential voices.
