Do you consider yourself curious?
Very much. Since I was young I have been interested in art, cinema, music, dance, the editorial world. I bought magazines on eBay, collected graphic documents that seemed interesting to me. Before, perhaps there were not so many options, information was not so accessible. I went to Italy to study graphic design. Nowadays you must know how to distinguish yourself as a professional, because it is not easy to stand out in the field of fashion.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
What I have learned so far is that when you reach a goal, from that summit you can see other higher objectives. There are always challenges. In 2026 I participated in a feature film in costume design direction, and I loved it. That said, I stick with fashion. Cinema is very beautiful, but somewhat slow for my pace of projects.
You also teach.
I learn a lot from my students. In this profession, if you stay at a static point you get rusty. I like to recommend fashion documentaries that I think help them see facets of the industry in a practical and direct way.
Have you previously been to Moritz Feed Doc?
Of course! I have now been living in Barcelona for fifteen years, and I would say I have gone almost since the first edition. I remember leaving a session, calling my mother and telling her: I am working on what I want. Reaffirming myself in my vocation. What I saw on the big screen confirmed that I was in the right place. And, sweeping for home: I would love to see a documentary about Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.
From which side of your family does your taste for aesthetics come?
My mother is an interior designer and has an innate eye for balance, color and shapes. Then I discovered that one of my grandfathers was very good with photography. And one also builds oneself, of course, through cultural references. But think that sometimes inspiration comes from the most remote and absurd place. One August ages ago I did a marathon of the American version of Ugly Betty and I won’t tell you the revelation I had with the fashion editor.
Thank you very much for participating in this edition as one of the Talents.
For me it is a pleasure. Feed Doc educates us in the culture of fashion. It offers the public a privileged view of what happens behind the scenes, of the most secret sides of this profession and of contemporary challenges such as upcycling, responsible production or inclusivity. The festival is a mirror of society.
