Moritz Feed Doc is renewing its commitment to local talent, aiming to showcase and give visibility to the creativity of students from three of the city’s most influential fashion and design schools: IED – Instituto Europeo di Design, LCI – Escola de Disseny i Arts Visuals, and Elisava – Facultat de Disseny i Enginyeria de Barcelona. The Festival will present their exquisitely crafted Fashion Films in screenings open to the public.
In addition, they will participate in other Festival activities. LCI students have produced this year’s edition spot; IED students will organize a Styling Slam and a Fashion Manifesto; and Elisava students will design the Casa Capell set.
11 local talents putting face and eyes on the 10th anniversary
Moritz Feed Doc celebrates local talent on its 10th anniversary with a group of ambassadors who put a face and eyes to this year’s campaign. Among the 11 national talents are Martí Arbaizar, cinematographer of projects that span documentary, short film, and fashion film, all marked by a cinematic voice characterized by experimentation and emotional storytelling; Ester G. Mera, cinematographer recognized for her fresh, eclectic, and personal vision within the Spanish audiovisual scene; Mar del Hoyo, designer of handcrafted jewelry under the brand Levens Jewels; Guillermo Justícia, emerging fashion designer exploring the symbiotic connection between nature, art, and contemporary tailoring; Saray Luis Martín, illustrator and creative with a style inspired by Mediterranean aesthetics and everyday scenes, with a strong link to fashion; Patty Mañá, fashion designer and creative director of the brand NIMPH, a synergy of sustainable fashion, strong narrative and upcycling; Carlos Marán, fashion editor and coordinator of Herdes, project director at SIGHT Management, and artistic director of Agatha Ruiz de la Prada; Alex Moli and Alex Nikolov, co-founders of Lexa, a creative agency inspired by underground culture that works with transgressive talent; Ari Rovira, tailor and founder of Lancaster Studio, Barcelona’s first queer tailoring studio challenging traditional fashion patterns and binaries; and Víctor Von Schwarz, contemporary fashion designer whose creative process focuses on local and artisanal production.
These ambassadors celebrate a decade of creativity by eating cake. They symbolize the spirit of the Festival: a meeting point where cinema, fashion, and culture converge with a contemporary, local perspective, continuing to offer the audience new experiences. Many of them will also participate in the roundtables and dialogues of the Festival’s parallel activities.
The images for this year’s campaign were shot by Fèlix Valiente, one of Spain’s most renowned fashion photographers, who has become a key figure over the last decade for the country’s leading editorials and fashion brands.
