Moritz Feed Doc celebrates for the first time the closing of the festival at Disseny Hub Barcelona, in a special event that took place on Saturday, March 21, with the color pink as the main protagonist.
The event hosted the premiere in Catalonia of the film The Designer is Dead, dedicated to the Mallorcan artist and international reference Miguel Adrover, directed by Gonzalo Hergueta and produced by Little Spain, and the award of the 10th edition of the festival was presented.
The event, conceived with the aim of becoming an essential annual event within the city’s fashion calendar, brought together prominent figures from the industry and culture, consolidating Barcelona as a meeting point between cinema and fashion.

The gala hosted the awards ceremony of the tenth edition of the festival, in which the documentary The Designer Is Dead won the Best Documentary award of the Official Section. The finalist titles were also Akris: Fashion With a Heritage, Gucci: Luxe, Drame et Volupté, Bardot, and Lace Relations.
The jury also wished to recognize the documentary Akris: Fashion With a Heritage, directed by Reiner Holzemer, with a special mention highlighted by Pilar Pasamontes, who emphasized its sensitivity and rigor. The film, which opened this edition of the festival, is also part of the retrospective dedicated to the filmmaker.
In addition, the closing hosted the premiere in Catalonia of The Designer Is Dead, dedicated to the Mallorcan designer Miguel Adrover. The screening was attended by its director, Gonzalo Hergueta, and the producers Juan Pérez de Rozas and Cris Trenas, from Little Spain.

This collaboration between Moritz Feed Doc and DHub represents an important step in building synergies between independent platforms and public institutions that work to promote fashion culture from a contemporary, transversal and committed perspective; and reinforces the shared desire to position Barcelona as a capital of thought, innovation and creativity.
This first joint action comes at a particularly relevant moment, coinciding with the rollout of the Barcelona Fashion Strategic Plan, promoted by the Ajuntament de Barcelona, which aims to strengthen fashion as a strategic cultural and economic sector of the city. In this context, the collaboration between Moritz Feed Doc and DHub exemplifies the desire to connect fashion with other creative industries such as film and audiovisual production and to boost the international projection of the sector.
The festival’s closing gala at DHub is part of this strategy, which promotes local talent and supports projects that connect culture, industry and innovation, positioning fashion as a key axis within Barcelona’s creative ecosystem and aiming to consolidate Barcelona as an international capital of fashion.
